He’s looking right at me. “Charlotte Cruz?” the devil questions. I give a jerky nod, shocked into silence. The monster grunts in response, sweeps me off my feet and carries me away from the altar.

I think I’m in love with the Lord next door! The author finally gave us his backstory and I am amazed that he is only grumpy from what was taken from him and not curled up in a ball of pain. His ward is the perfect mate for him, her sunny disposition and willingness to love and understand is going to bring him to his knees. I love how she rocks the foundation of the manor to its core and brought life back into their lives. This book is fantastic and just proved that gramps knew exactly what he was doing. This book is just right for the weekend and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
