Kindles in the Wild – Claimed by the Alpha Werewolf – Claire Brown – August 15, 2021

Regretfully Summer and I didn’t get to hang out another day with Mollee, we had a hot date with a short rail train to get to. Which meant getting up super early and hitting the road, so we could be there by 2PM. Lucky for us it was Sunday, through a national forest, so little to no traffic and plenty of time to make a side trip to this little wonder hidden in Strasburg.

We had a nice scenic drive that took us to this unassuming strip mall, with a restaurant, several shops, including a train store, and the Choo Choo Barn. There is a little play area out front for the kids, and when you first walk in it appears to just be a small novelty shop with some train accessories. But then you walk up to the counter and show your pre-purchased ticket to the cashier, and you get waved into the back room. You know the one behind the current that seems to be shrouded in mystery.

Yep, when you push the in current aside and take that first step in, you appear to have been transported into a land of wonder, lights, sounds, moving parts, and excitement. The entire center of the back room is one big train landscape. There are multiple trains running, real water features, miniature people, cars, and animals and so much more. As you walk around the edge of the room it is hard to decide where to focus on since it is just so big and there is something different everywhere. About halfway around the lights go dim and you can really see the lights in the display. From train lights to head lights, police lights to streetlights, they are all captivating and make you feel like a giant watching real lives play out before you.

This is one of those places that you could spend an entire day there if you could just to see it all. If you ever find yourself in the Lancaster area, I highly recommend taking a twirl around the train room floor. You will not be disappointed.

Of course, I would not be in somewhere so special without my IPad and Kindle app. Especially after such a long ride and weekend, so I took a few moments to catch up on my reading while the trains whizzed by. This is a new author to me, and a new author in general I think based on the lack of website and social media pages, but the book was a very good beginning. I loved the characters and the storyline. The author had me so entrenched in the story that I didn’t realize it was over until I turned the last page and it was done. This book was fast-paced and only took a few hours, but I am looking forward to seeing what else the author will bring to the table in the future.

Happy Reading

What an alpha wants

This book really drew me in. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline, but I wished there was more. The story is very fast-paced and I was so caught up in that I didn’t realize I was at the end until I reached the last page. This book was my first experience with this author, but I’m looking forward to seeing what more she has to offer.
