Kindles in the Wild – Finch – Leora Gonzales – August 15, 2021

All aboard! Summer and I finally made it to our final destination in the Lancaster area of PA, the Stasburg Railroad. I was so glad that I was able to experience this with her as the last time I was on the train when we went there for a school trip how many ever years ago. Now if only we can go back and take Mollee with us.

We thought for sure that we would be the last ones from our group there, but we actually ended up being the first. Summary and I met up with one of the Job’s Daughters group for a nice relaxing afternoon on the train with a picnic lunch layover. Of course, by the time our entire group was there the train was pretty full up and they started just putting us anywhere there was an empty seat. But I guess having a big group worked in our favor because we got a free upgrade to the dining car, minus food service, but with AC. The staff was nothing but kind and courteous, and they made sure we were able to have the trip we were hoping for.

Along the way, we saw so many fun things, an Amish amusement Park, a caboose motel, horses and buggies, and corn galore. The train and station had that old world charm with so many things to do to pass the time while waiting for our call to board. There is a gift shop, a small-scale steam engine for the kids, and so many other relics of a time gone by to view and enjoy. We even saw a car decked out for the apocalypse with guns on board sitting in the parking lot, but I feel that is not a normal daily occurrence. This was an absolutely fantastic way to spend our Sunday afternoon and I cannot recommend it enough if you ever find your way out to Amish country.

This was the perfect way to spend some time and catch up on my reading, okay I might have also gotten in some chatting with the adults, but you know how it goes. This book is kind of in the middle of the series, but it was the first book I have read by the author. And what a book it was! I loved the characters, especially when we got to the spaceship and the other ladies got involved, and our dear sweet alpha was just trying to do the right thing for his special gal. The author kept the intensity high and me glued to my seat throughout. I didn’t feel lost by having started in the middle, but I have since gone back and read the first few books. This was a fantastic read, that I would certainly recommend, and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Happy Reading

Warriors of Phaeton: Finch

Published to Amazon on March 17, 2018

Author Leora Gonzales

Claudia is living every single mom’s dream… well, not really, but she’s the type to see the glass half-full. Working the night shift to make ends meet, Claudia barely gets by with help from her best friend and her steady cleaning job. She can’t complain though. There’s food on the table and diapers on her baby’s butt, so she keeps chugging along. Her job at the Intake Center not only pays her bills, but also feeds her fantasies whenever she catches sight of the gorgeous Phaetons coming down to Earth to collect their brides under the Bridal Pact. Finch knew that he would eventually get a bride…he just didn’t expect that it would start with a kidnapping. Finch spotted Claudia long before she ever laid eyes on him, and he’s not about to let her out of his sight. After watching his friends and fellow warriors come to heel for the human women in their lives, Finch can’t help but wonder what the big deal is with getting a bride. One thing he does know is that he can’t keep the curvy Claudia out of his head, especially when he craves the feeling of her under his battle-hardened body every time he goes to bed. When Finch is given the chance to save Claudia from an unseen threat, he takes charge and hustles her right off planet Earth without asking for her permission or that of the Phaeton council. His actions have consequences, but the big question is: who will pay for them?

Official published review:

Not without my son

Don’t let the other reviews fool you, this book is a fantastic read! The story was interesting and well written. The author kept me glued to my ereader with each turn of the page and with every new obstacle that was thrown into the characters path. I loved the characters! The ladies were hilarious, and the guys were their willing slaves. Well unless their safety was at risk and then they took matters into their own hands. A miscommunication becomes the perfect HEA by the end of the story. The book can be read as a stand-alone, but personally I can’t wait to go back and read the series from the beginning.

Leora is a former snake milker that now enjoys the okayest job of balancing motherhood and writing contemporary romance. *Some with a sci fi twist*

A sucker for dirty talk, both the sexy kind and the type that leads to the discovery of new curse words, Leora catches all the craziness in her head on the cracked screen of her laptop. Squeezed into a small workspace in her Florida garage, this author uses her imagination *and cannabis* to explore the worlds she has created.

Her work has been praised extensively by her mother—who pinky promised to read the sexy parts with her eyes closed—and ignored by the rest of her family. Some critics have made compelling statements about her work such as “foul mouthed woman” and “nothing more than porn”. When asked for a comment regarding those reviews, the author’s answer was, “f$&% yeah!” with an enthusiastic nod and accompanying finger guns shooting in the air.
