Kindles in the Wild – James – Susan Bliler – May 29, 2022 – Niagara Falls

In keeping with the favorite rereads theme, I took one of my favorite books by one of my favorite authors to a bucket list location for almost everyone. This book has an amazing story that will leave you absolutely heartbroken, and then let you see the light. These two characters survived the unthinkable and then misconceptions kept them apart until the author reconnected them with a wonderful surprise. But the drama doesn’t stop there, and it leads to a HEA that makes me want to reread the story as soon as I turn the last page.

I couldn’t think of a better location to share this book then at the awe inspiring falls of Niagra. I apologize that the pictures do not seem to do the falls justice, but at only 5 feet you get what you get. But to be honest, you can really only understand the magnitude if you see them in person and feel the water on your face.

The girls and I enjoyed our visit, but this one is sure to be a repeat location because we didn’t get to see the Cave of the Winds or go out on the Maid of the Mist for a better look. If you have not been you should be sure to add this to your Must Visit list. There are so many things to see, including some minor falls that take a bit of hiking to get there. I would recommend getting there early to avoid the traffic in the town and to insure that there is parking.

Like with all locations, we had to finally leave, but at least I got to take my favorite book with me.

Happy Reading

James (Skin Walkers Book 18)

Published to Amazon on October 30, 2018

Author Susan Bliler

PrimRose is done running from her past. The last time she saw James, his eyes had been filled with cold, merciless hatred. She’d been forced to betray him, and he’s never understood why. Now, seeing him again after all these years, any hope for a relationship is vanishing beneath his cruel disdain. Prim knows she’s to blame for the ice that surrounds his heart, yet she’s praying that the secret she’s kept all these years and the sacrifices she’s willing to make might just warm him to her. It was a risk coming to StoneCrow, but for a shot at happiness, Prim was willing to risk it. Now, she’s just praying she survives James’ wrath. Skin Walker Sentry, James, isn’t prepared when his past comes calling. Prim is the woman who wrecked him all those years ago. She’s his enemy, and not just his. She betrayed all Skin Walkers and deserves no mercy, and regardless of the passion they once shared, James is determined to put her where she belongs, in a cell. *This is book 18 in the Skin Walkers series. Since each book in this series focuses on a different couple, they can be read as stand-alones. Readers may prefer to read them in order for maximum enjoyment.

Official published review:

Bringing back his smile

James is the one Walker who never seems to lose his smile, but like all the perpetually happy he is covering up a deep well of hurt. When you pick up this book, be prepared with a box of tissues because your emotions are going to get the best of you and you will cry. But the HEA is just that much sweeter for the emotional journey you have to go on to get there. This author continues to amaze me with her characters, her plots and the way she manages to draw me into the outcomes of each book. I anxiously await her next book and the story she will tell.

My pack territory is in Central Montana, between Stone Crow Estates and the North Fortress. Born and raised in an untamed location that bridges the gap between rolling prairies and majestic mountain peaks, I am born to a family that also bridges the gap between cultures. My father's people boast a fiercely proud Scandinavian ancestry while my mother's tribes descend from two savagely beautiful and unique nations (White Clay and Nakoda) that inspire my Skin Walker series. I'm a huge fan of MMA, boxing, 30 Seconds to Mars, DMX, Nahko and Medicine for the People, and 21 Pilots ("...sometimes quiet is violent"). I also love to read because it encourages me to write. (I hate it when authors add that they love coffee and chocolate. Really? Who doesn't love coffee and chocolate?) Anyway, I love beer...kidding. I don't love beer, but we are engaged in a very serious relationship. (Mom, please don't call me when you read this.) Please leave feedback....well, only if it's positive. "Keep in mind that I'm an artist and I'm sensitive about my sh*t! (Erykah Badu lyrics!)
