Mollee and I finally managed to make it back to our local branch of the NCR trail today. My sister drove down to join us, and we met up on the trail to walk from P8 to P7 and back. Don’t ask me how far that is because I never pay attention, but my FitBit assures me it is far enough to count towards a workout day, 57 zone minutes and get me up to 11,258 steps.
We enjoy this trail because it is wide enough to allow multiple bikes, people and strollers to share the road without getting in each other’s way, plus it is not too far from our house for those days that we don’t have the time to go too far afield. There is plenty of nature, and pollen, to kick up the allergies, fishing and just restful places throughout the journey. That being said, don’t let the big parking lot fool you. When it is peak time, you will find yourself parked on the side of the road and walking to the trail head.
And there are plenty of benches to pass the time while you wait for the rest of your group to arrive in the warm summer sun. Which is what we did. I was completely enthralled with this book and didn’t want to put it down, so Mollee and I got there early and enjoyed being in the great outdoors while I read my book. Of course, when my sister finally got there, I still didn’t want to put down my book. But alas I did, and we enjoyed being out and getting active in all of that nature. I highly recommend the NCR trail and the book if you get a chance to swing this way.
Happy Reading

Rexor: A SciFi Alien Warrior Romance (Stolen Warriors book 1)
Published to Amazon on December 11, 2020
Author Ella Maven
They thought I was dangerous before, but now that I have a female to defend... I'm ruthless. Daisy: I'm a glass half-full girl, but this last week has really tested my outlook on life. First of all, aliens exist. Yeah, there's a doozy. Second of all, they steal humans from Earth, and they're not nice about it. Like at all. Anger issues abound in other galaxies apparently. My situation worsens when I learn I'm the prize in some really effed-up alien gladiator games. I'm just going to admit it now--my glass is empty, and this doesn't look good for me... Rexor: Once I was a proud Drixonian Warrior. Now I'm an experiment gone bad and a former gladiator who can't control his bloodlust. When I see a human female with sunshine hair in danger, I can't let her fall into the clutches of monsters who will break her. I steal her with the intention of rescuing her, not keeping her for myself. She's beauty and happiness. I'm a hideous shadow of what I once was and losing my mind with every planet's rotation. All I know is that while we're on the run from our enemies, I'll do anything to protect her. Even if I have to break myself to do it. Rexor is a SciFi Alien Warrior Romance with lots of action, a heroine who's really trying to look on the bright side, and a tortured hero with a few...enhancements.

Hope in the dark
Wow! This is one of those books that you don’t just read it, you experience it. The emotions the author was able to pull from the characters was off the charts! I felt sympathy, empathy, and this overwhelming need to cheer them on as they searched for peace in their new reality and found their HEA. It is not often that I feel the need to read all the books in a series, and their offshoot series, one right after another, but the plight of these characters make it impossible for me to move on until I know they are all okay. The author kept the emotions, danger and intensity high throughout the book and I loved every minute of it. This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I can’t wait to read every book in her library.

Ella Maven is the pen name for a multi-published USA Today Bestselling author who decided to finally unleash the alien world that had been living in her head for years. (Is that weird? Probably). Her books feature dominant, possessive aliens who are absolutely devoted to their humans. She lives on the East Coast with her completely normal husband and two spawn who sure seem alien some days.
