Kindles in the Wild – Wolf Claims His Pack – N.J. Walters – March 11, 2022

As always happens, all good things have to come to an end, and we found ourselves back in Erie before the snowstorm. So we, of course, headed to the maritime museum for a school project and to see what we can see.

The first thing we saw was the towering smokestack in the parking lot. And we heard tell of a tall ship available for tours, but at 16°F the guides didn’t seem too enthusiastic about going out there. But that’s okay, it just means we will have to go back when it warms up. And look! I found the perfect book to read while there.

Did I mention the museum is attached to the public library? Which meant plenty of reading spots for me to explore this new to me author. As usual, I started with a book in the middle of a series…following the original series. But I didn’t feel overly lost, just a little lost, and the story was exciting and attention grabbing. Let’s just say that I now feel the overwhelming need to start at the very beginning with the parent series.

When you are enjoying the fun and sun to be had in Erie, keep this little gem in mind. Both the book and the location. It will give you a new appreciation for the sea and the men who sail it.

Happy Reading

Wolf Claims His Pack (Salvation Pack: The Next Generation Book 3)

Published to Amazon on March 7, 2022

Author N.J. Walters

Half-breed wolf and blacksmith, Bailey Smith’s life is complicated. She’s alpha of a small pack consisting of her teenage brother and three other kids. Her grandfather—a pure-blood wolf—wants her and her brother dead. And now a confrontation with two human males has brought Child Protective Services to her door. If that wasn’t enough, she’s caught the attention of an unknown, sexy-as-hell, male wolf. Nicholas LaForge has found his mate and purpose. Being a full-blooded wolf is a strike against him, but she marries him to protect her kids. He’ll use whatever sneaky methods necessary—including sex—to convince her they belong together. First, he has to deal with the threats to his new pack. That’s the easy part. Winning her love and trust might be impossible.

Official published review:

I would wait forever

This is my first book in the series, well either series really, and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the characters, and while I was missing some of the previously mentioned details, I didn’t feel lost due to the way the author alluded to them in this book. I love how both of the main characters are alpha and they had to find their common ground, and the kids really made the story. The author did a fantastic job with the state worker and kept me enthralled with the emotional angst and impending danger. This book is perfect for the weekend and I can’t wait to read the books I’ve already missed and any new ones to come.

Once upon a time N.J. had the idea that she would like to quit her job at the bookstore, sell everything she owned, leave her hometown, and write romance novels in a place where no one knew her. And she did. Two years later, she went back to the bookstore and her hometown and settled in for another seven years.

One day she gave notice at her job on a Friday morning. On Sunday afternoon, she received a tentative acceptance for her first romance novel and life would never be the same.

N.J. Walters is a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author who has always been a voracious reader, and now she spends her days writing novels of her own. Vampires, werewolves, dragons, time-travelers, seductive handymen, and next-door neighbors with smoldering good looks—all vie for her attention. It’s a tough life, but someone’s got to live it.
